The exhibit was to show case all the Addy awards that the Art Institute students won in 2012. Mr. John Luer - gallery curator & faculty - came up with the concept of using the QR codes to generate better interaction between the gallery guests and the artworks. By only display the QR codes on the wall, the guests need to scan those QR codes to view on their mobile devices. For those who didn't have access to a QR code scanner at the time, they could pick up a booklet that had all the artworks and the artists' statements. I also made a cube that features all the winner names and their projects. This cube could flip open various ways, each side dedicate to a message or list of names. The cube complimented the interaction between the viewers and the artworks that this exhibit were promoting. The main colors are black and white to go with the common colors that QR codes often used. The red was chosen to tight in with emphasized the color the of the school logo.

I learned so many great lessons from working on this gallery. I learned a great deal about time management, and working with other designers. I had to followed up with all the designers that won any Addy award, and collected their artworks for the booklet and the gallery. I had to managed and archived all the artworks I collected from the designers. Also, worked with the gallery Electronic Even Coordinator (Julio Ochoa) and Social Media Specialist (Patrick Perez) was the most rewarding experience. I made two friends who are one the best designers that I got to work with.

So special thanks to Jamie Hendon II for the great video of interviews of the designers. Kevin Lyle and Patrick Perez for the beautiful stand for the cube (you should've seen their original stand, it was beautiful). But, most of all, Mr. Ron Lana for trusting me with the booklet, the cube, the poster, and everything else evolved around this exhibit. It was such an honor. I'm looking forward to the next collaborations with these amazing friends and mentors.
